Let the games begin. Just yesterday I mentioned "yet another shot across the bow of Iran of the impending war" while showing what appeared to be an image of the ‘Azadi Tower’, Iran’s ‘Freedom Tower’, behind Mitt Romney during his concession speech. And now this …
.. So last week, November 1 2012 to be exact, Iran fired on a US drone doing routine surveillance in international waters of the Persian Gulf, according to sources. cough Controlled Media cough bullshit
I don’t care when this may have happened this would have been reported around the world as an act of WAR or at the least aggression. They say this story was held back due to the classified nature of the drone in question. cough cough bullshit
According to other sources [wink wink Controlled Media] The MQ-1 Predator was not armed and was carrying out “routine surveillance” flying 16 nautical miles off the Kuwaiti coast in international waters and never entered the 12-mile limit constituting air space over Iranian territory. [Of course we know GPS is never wrong] and the fact these 2 Iranian jets pursued the drone for a short period before giving up is a hoot. They say the Iranian pilots opened fire with the 30mm cannon on the SU-25 and not the air to air missiles the craft can carry and likely was carrying. Because you know, why go to a war without your armament hahaha. Wonder why Iran didn’t send up their MiG-29UB of which they have 95 in inventory as of January 2011.
According to the Pentagon, two Iranian SU-25 “Frogfoot” aircraft intercepted the American drone as it conducted a routine, but classified, surveillance mission over Gulf waters about 16 nautical miles off the Iranian coast.
If Iran had hit the drone, as the Pentagon believes it was trying to do, it could have forced American retaliation – with the potential consequences that entails.
I must say, after reading that, the Iranian pilots need more training. If you believe this story cough cough .. also this happened as Israeli and the US held a joint defense exercise called "Austere Challenge 2012" to practice shooting Iranian missiles out of the sky.
via The Weekly Standard:
Iran fired on an unarmed U.S. drone last week as it was hovering in international airspace, the Pentagon announced Thursday.
Spokesman George Little said the incident occurred Nov. 1 at 4:50 a.m. ET. He said the unarmed, unmanned drone was conducting “routine surveillance” over the Persian Gulf when it was “intercepted” by Iran. He said the MQ1 Predator drone, which was not hit, was not in Iranian airspace.
On Twitter, Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin follows up by saying the attack on the American drone by Iran was not revealed until after the election because it was a “classified” mission.
DoD didn’t reveal Iranian fighter jets fired at US drone in days before the US Presidential election because drone on “classified” mission.

It’s not like we’ve never been lied to before for the purpose of going to war. Remember those phoney Weapons of Mass Destruction Iraq had …
Just for kicks, here’s what wikipedia has to say about the SU-25 the Iranians have –
On 21 January 1991, seven Iraqi Su-25s were flown to Iran in an effort to find a temporary safe haven from Operation Desert Storm attacks on major Iraqi airfields. These Iraqi aircraft were considered by the Iranians to be a gift from their former adversary, and were seized by the Iranian military. However, as a result of lack of spare parts, documentation, and pilot training, these aircraft were never flown by the Iranian Air Force. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Air Force has added at least six new aircraft to its inventory and has since likely restored ex-Iraqi Su-25s to flight status as well.
Only 7 ??
